The second Kingdom Enduro went off in style and was bigger and even more badass than the inaugural event! There were more competitors from all over the World including a bunch of pro’s making the standard of riding higher and race times faster! To match the level of riding was the standard of the trails, trail wizard Rene had been busy, anything we had raced last year now started higher and steeper than before – and some freshly dug trails with Rene’s craftsmanship meant that all competitors had big smiles all week!
The Kingdom Enduro is a three day event, with big days out in the Mountains of Lesotho. Think 5am starts, hour plus hike-a-bikes and just mind-blowing descents. Post race beers, good people and good vibes makes this an event you have to put on your must do list. It’s also an EWS qualifier, so if you are trying to get points then that’s an added bonus!!
The Kingdom of Lesotho is within South Africa, though it’s an independent Country – it has the highest lowest point of any country in the World (take a second to figure that out), and is just an incredible place. You can fly in to Maseru, or fly to Johannesburg, rent a cheap car and it’s a 5hr drive. I highly recommend this race to everyone – and I’ll see you there next year!!
