About us

Clark Expeditions.

Launched in 2018 Clark expeditions is focussed on offering real adventurous experiences in Uganda and beyond. The main focus is on Hiking and Mountain Bike holidays and expeditions, predominantly on and around Mt. Elgon in Eastern Uganda. We offer trips that are not available anywhere else and offer you the chance to go places no one else will take you. We have two sister companies here in Uganda, Nalubale Rafting - the number one white water rafting company on the Nile and Sipi River Lodge - the number one lodge in Eastern Uganda. We are a new company but we draw on many years of experience in the outdoor industry in East Africa, the UK and Europe. We stick to the highest standards of safety in all our adventures and claim conformity to BS8848:2014.  To read our take on risk assessment and safety click here

Will Clark.  Founder.

Will's adventure career began at the age of 8 when he became the youngest person to cycle across Europe along with his Brother and Dad.  Through school it was windsurfing that fueled the stoke until aged 14 and the discovery of whitewater kayaking. After school it was the French Alps and snowboarding and whilst studying for a History degree at the University of Leeds the snow and whitewater were kept in a kind of symbiotic balance. The first trip to Africa was whilst still at Uni and a kayaking trip to the White Nile in Uganda. The opportunity of work brought him back and from 2006 Will was living full time in Jinja, Uganda -working as a kayak guide and saving money for kayak trips to other parts of the World. 2008 saw a new direction when along with two buddies Will started Sipi River Lodge - a beautiful private lodge in the foothills of Mt Elgon, a destination that later proved to be a mountain biking Mecca.  With the lodge established and looking for another challenge, in 2011 Will took over Nalubale Rafting, at the time a small whitewater Rafting company based in Jinja.  These days Nalubale is well regarded as one of the best whitewater rafting companies in Uganda.

Will has a BA (Hons) in History from the University of Leeds, is a Level 4 BCU Kayak Coach, IRF TL5 Raft Guide, MIAS L2 MTB Guide, and Wilderness First Responder.  He is a big fan of good coffee and good whisky, random chat and impromptu adventures.
