300km rowing expedition from the Source of the Nile to Karuma Falls...

Kiko Matthews is setting out to be the fastest person to row solo across the Atlantic Ocean - a feat made even more impressive because when she decided to do it she had never rowed a boat before!  She will set out in early 2018 and has been incredibly busy training and fundraising to pull off this incredible adventure.

We invited her over to the Nile as a bit of a training holiday and a good chance to add a bit of exposure to her trip.  We're going to row just over 300km from the source of the Nile in Jinja to Karuma Falls.  The journey will take us through Grade 5 rapids, past the partially constructed Isimba Dam, past the historic Quayside of Namasagali into Lake Kyoga.  We'll row through the night through the lake through the black night of a new moon to Port Masindi where the Nile forms up again before it thunders through Karuma Falls and onto one of the worlds most incredible stretches of Whitewater to Murchison Falls.

We're heading out in September!  It's going to be a great little trip!
